Co-op Experience - Dundas Valley Co-operative Preschool.

Co-op Experience

Our preschool is staffed by qualified, experienced Early Childhood Educators with the help of parent volunteers and oversight by a parent executive committee. As part of a co-operative, parents play a hands-on role in their child’s first adventure in learning and out-of-home development.

Parents and family designates are involved in many aspects of the preschool’s operation, ranging from committee roles, to playdough making, to planning special events. Parents also have the option to assist the teacher during a class on a rotating and flexible schedule (duty days).

Co-op Volunteering - Dundas Valley Co-operative Preschool.

Co-op and volunteering at a preschool are essential for building a strong community foundation. These activities provide valuable support to educators and help create a nurturing environment for young children. Volunteers can share their skills and experiences, enriching the learning experience and fostering a sense of belonging among families.

Additionally, engaging with preschoolers allows volunteers to connect with the next generation, promoting positive relationships and community involvement. This collaboration not only benefits the children but also strengthens the bonds among families, making the community more cohesive and supportive.
